Hi there
dd is sitting the 7 plus for city of London girls.
I have attended the open day but I thin I was one of the last as dd was waitlisted for the assessments. The school was mind- blowing.
Does, anyone have experience of the tests recently?
Any advice please?
Thank you so much!

Inside info: The test is nothing special particularly in relation to rival schools. But here, they have an extremely strong, if not overriding, preference for preps or private school pupils. At this stage (7+), they can reject state pupils even if they did well at both stages of their assessments.

Really? What's their logic? Is it the same at 11+ do you think?

Yes - your child can score better than those accepted but still be rejected at 7 plus. Perhaps they look for a certain type. But only they can tell why. It may connect with ability to pay because until you get in from the other side they have no evidence you've been paying for anything in life.

You see, they are more expensive at this stage than rival schools that have consistently for years out-perform them at the 16/18 stages of exams.

Thank you so much, have just looked at some boys papers and some were okay, however some (habs) were tough. Is the CLGS comparable to anybody the boys ones?
DD is in a private prep school now but one that is totally against 7 plus and I have a feeling they are actually holding them back this term. Still on number line, adding one and very basic multiplication.
I have no intention of getting her a tutor but lets just say, I have made a big trip to W H Smith for lett's and schofield books!
Thanks
