Brook Primary School - Hackney

Hello, my son was offered Brook Primary School in Hackney yesterday, it was our third choice school so we will be going on the waiting lists for the higer ranked schools on our list.

We are going to accept Brook in the meantime as i thought it seemed good when i visited although league table results and Ofsted aren't great, does anyone have any experience of this school they could share with me?

I know it a bit, and am not impressed with how they teach reading.

Hoping this will change now that the govt has bought in the new phonics test in Y1.

Does anyone else have experience of this school, i have had a couple of surprised looks and groans when telling people?

I am writing my schools list at the moment and was wondering what your experience of Brook school was like? Did you change school and which one did you change to?
