Where to buy school polo shirts for skinny 8 yr old DS???

Normally get them from M&S but they seem to have gone mahoosive with the sizing over last year or so. He's average height but if I get them long enough for him they are ridiculously wide.

So...if you have a slim jim/skinny minny, where do get their polo shirts from???

Dd is 11 and skinny (was measured for a home-made dress and is the average size of a 6 year old)and is taller than average. The length is never really an issue as they have to be tucked in at dd's school. We just buy at least 2 years too small from wherever. Some of her polo shirts are even age 7-8!

Length v width definitely an issue here unfortunately. DS1 has a long back, which means tucked-in shirts quickly become un-tucked-in shirts if they're too short.

I do wash carefully but always get some shrinkage on length with M&S shirts (never width).

Surely there are polo shirts for skinny kids out there somewhere? Or is just that M&S are massively wide and other shops do normal width??

My three ds's all have long bodies and I find most shops do them short and wide. Our school do logo polos and they are the only ones that do them. They are Jerzees perhaps you can get them online.

I got DS sainsburys ones and they fit well. He is six now and still wearing the age five which to be fair are slightly on the short side but not short enough to be comical (which is where I draw the line grown out of clothes style IKYWIM)

They are not wide fit wise and were v cheap and havce washed well as they have lasted since august 2010

I second Sainsbury. Very long bodies around here too
They are a bit few and far between though.
Have you got one near you?
I could go buy and post if you're desperate?

Ps I gave up on marks for my family years ago. Short and plump is their motto apparently

thank you thank you thank you for the responses! was on the verge of getting scissors and sewing machine out, and that could only have ended badly i feel.

Sainsburys it is then.

ohgoonthenpouranother - really kind of you to offer to post them to me. Happily there's a vast sainsburys a 15 minute drive away from me, so think it will do clothes thought - but thank you, much appreciated.
