My daughter has suddenly become fairly independant and wants to walk to breakfast school by herself. she has no other kid to walk with nearby. Is this too young,is there a law on it?

no law that I am aware of - what do other children do at the school and what does the school expect - in my school KS2 could if parents were happy go home on their own - my main consideration would be any roads she had to crosss and how far it is.

My dd is 9 and i have just allowed her to walk to school mind we live not even 5 mins from school but she still has to cross v busy road i have been walking to the top of the street last week just to check she is ok, she wants to do it her self this week im not sure i want to let go. I would say 8 is fine i should of done it last year and lots of the kids round here walk them selves.
Maybe tag along behind her untill she gets used to it.
