We're moving near the grandparents and some greener spaces and trying to find a good school for my 3 1/2 year old son, preferably that has a bit of outside space for him to let off a bit of steam! I liked Horniman and Fairlawn schools but I'm concerned about the mobile phone tower so close by. Due to go and visit Stillness school soon. Can any one tell me anything about Stillness, Dalmain, Rathfern and any other schools in these areas that are good? I would like a school that has a friendly feel with some outdoor space and a creative approach to meeting the curriculum if possible. :-)

Hiya
Didn't want this to go unanswered and hope you've liked the schools you've seen. My daughter is at Dalmain (she's in the preschool at present, and due to go up to Reception soon). We really like it - the music is fabulous (and we had Rolf Harris at the school fair, which has to be a major coup) and the children seem really really happy - the parents are committed and the feel of the school is great. Falls down on the green space, but I think many London schools do.
Friends really like Stillness, though I wouldn't know about its creative side. It has a reputation for being very academic. If it is creativity you're after you may like Kilmorie or Gordonbrock too. Good luck!

Kilmorie is v over-subscribed, isn't it? Move on to the doorstep!

As far as I'm aware Kilmorie is not half as oversubscribed as Stillness, Dalmain, Horniman and Fairlawn. It's also planning to double in size.
