Just a loud thought

We got our dc's reports last week which showed the assessment was done in May. I guess the teachers' strike was organised for 30th june as the schools perhaps had covered the curriculum then, therefore no major impact on the children.

Based on the above:
Why would a parent be told off if there dc was to be absent from say june going on holiday to avoid the artificially inflated prices Grin so long as they continue with the 10mins routine i.e reading, maths and writing.

I know that most of us wouldn't be able to do it but for those who can should. i'm thinking those with families abroad

If its allowed then the airlines won't have peak time as such Smile

Ok! Ok! its a wishful thinking dream

The curriculum won't have been covered by June 30th (or school may as well break up ) We will be teaching right up to the last day but as clam says go for it! Grin

I can't afford such a long holiday. I would feel guilty thinking my dc is missing out

mrz why are the reports done by May if the curriculum is not completed until July, thus giving me the wrong idea.
