hello
my son is 13 he is bisexual and he has told me this from a young age and I’m completely fine with this. A few weeks ago I started to see notifications on his phone from someone with a boy name that I haven’t heard him mention before but thought just leave it which I did for 3 weeks. Today when he was in and his phone went off so I checked it and when I read the chats with the boy is was horrified. This lad was 14 and my son is 13 for 3 weeks they have been sending eachother picture of themselves with no top or trousers on in there boxers and the messages were very sexual taking about sending inappropriate nudes and penis size ect.
Has anyone been through something similar and do u have any advice for me on the situation do I reprimand him or let him be I DONT KNOW HELP

The first thing I want to say is that your act is an invasion of your son's privacy (whatever the purpose is). If your child does know, the distance between you and your baby will grow further.
Second, about your question, I think you should just insinuate and give advice objectively. Don't be too specific as this will let your child know that you've checked his phone. You shouldn't be too harsh on him

I think at 13 you are not invading your son's privacy by checking their phone at all.

Sending nude photos of underage children even if it is of themselves is illegal. He needs to understand this. I would certainly intervene and have a chat with him. He is a child and needs to be protected.
