Puberty and Shaving

Dd is 12 and in the midst of puberty. She has started to talk about wanting to shave her legs, pluck her eyebrows etc.

I've persuaded her to wait to pluck eyebrows - I want her to see an expert and have it done properly the first time (I have over-plucked 90s brows that have never grown back)

I'm also not sure what to do about legs - shaving is a slippery slope to horrible thick hairs that need to be shaved regularly. Waxing will really hurt.

Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

shaving hair doesn't change its thickness, color or rate of growth, so she could start doing this. or you could get some hair removal cream.

I have a DD the same age, pre-covid she had her eyebrows waxed every 3 weeks like me, and she uses in-shower hair-removal cream for her legs.

My dd's have shaved their armpits and legs since they asked to do so at about 10 /11. Dd 13 does her own brows! Dd 14 has pale brows and leaves them alone!!
Imo their body, their decision..
