Sporty girls swimwear recommendations?

Nutellanjam · 30/04/2020 14:06

Hello all
My DD, 12 is really not keen on girly swimwear, strappy bikinis, type thing. She wants to be comfy eg doing cartwheels/gym on the beach (if we get to the beach, that is!) Can anyone recommend a sporty type swimwear suitable for her age ideally with swim shorts, possibly a tankini or very un-strappy top?
Thanks

The swimming club kids all wear 'legsuits' these days.

Speedo and Zoggs do fun styles and fabrics as well as sporty.

Landsend do very sensible girls swimwear in fun colours and patterns.
Simply swim is a good site for discount swimwear, just start away from the technical/competition suits which are crazy money.

She might like Funkita, an Australian label: //www.funkita.com

They post to the UK, so as long as you're clear about your DD's size (roughly the same in Aust as UK) you might find just what you want. Incredibly groovy, original prints and good quality lycra that can withstand a lot of chlorine. The squad swimmers at our local pool love Funkita.
