Dd first had the Angel bra from M&S. Do you have an idea of size?

I'm wondering the same thing. Dd is only 9 and very slim, currently OK in crop tops but won't be long. All the first bras seem to start at a 28 back which is what I am so no idea where we will find anything to fit her Confused

DD has Angel bras as well, they wash and wear well and come in a variety of styles and colours.

If you have a Boux Avenue near you, they do great non-underwired bras with small back sizes. They do have a website too.

Thanks all will take a look online.

No idea in sizes yet will need to measure her. Certainly not expecting it to be anything other than an a cup.

The angel bras all look like they are the moulded ones so a bit padded Sad

If you have Facebook check out "Boob or Bust"
Start her right from the beginning. How to measure herself properly so she doesn't end up like the rest of us wearing the wrong sized bras-our entire lives

If she has any breast tissue at all then she will be more than an A cup as that means only 1 inch between under and over bust measurements. My dd liked the slight padding as it means more nipple coverage

You could also look at the children underwear section at M&S, they do simple bras as well which aren't padded. DD had them at first but she found they are not very supportive on the long run.

I found first bras are a bit of trial and error, we got a couple of different styles and in the end bought more of the one DD preferred.

New look do a range of first bras. Moulded cups are popular with teens as they give a smooth shape and hide cold nipples.

We went for M&S Angel as well. I checked the chest measurement of her crop tops and started with that, and I think she is in AA, but not certain as cut out the labels.

Try Asda and/or Debenhams too - the ones I bought from there weren’t padded.

It's next to impossible to find back sizes smaller than a 28.

So you might have to 'sister size' (26 B having to wear 28 A)

I found Debenhams had a good range.

Also try TKMaxx sports dept, for XS sports crop tops which work well as first bras

John Lewis do a great fitting service you can book online. They pick soft bras and you go in the room with your daughter. I took her for cake and tea afterwards to celebrate the occasion. It was lovely!

Matalan have quite a good range of first bras. Look very similar to the m&s ones, but half the price.

Dont think matalan does small back sizes

Report
dementedpixie · 18/09/2019 19:35

Ok I've seen they have small back sizes but a tiny range of cup sizes. Most people will not be an A or AA cup

Matalan is a good one. They start at 28 back size but they are tiny! I'm not convinced they are a true 28

Primark do a 'my first bra' type range or at least they used to and failing that try the unwired bras as they are usually a tighter supportive type bra a nice up from a crop top and stil comfy/supportive
