Skinny jeans for petite 11 year old

I’m struggling to find some jeans for a very slender child. Age 9-10 fit her waist and hips but are too short. I really don’t want to spend a lot on them as she will ruin the knees as she’s always grubbing around on the floor with her slime concoctions grin

Tesco and Matalan are too big age 10-11, not looked in Asda and our local Sainsbury’s never has much stock.

H&M is probably worth a look - DD is slim and ends up with most of her clothes from there.

Would jeggings do the job? Easier to get then to fit

Panicmode1 Wed 06-Dec-17 16:42:52

ZARA have come up trumps for us, although DD is obsessed with Jack Wills "as they are the only proper super skinny ones" apparently!

Agree H and M teen range is good for slimmer sizes.

I only have boys. But for boys the answer is H&M, Primark and Zara

Megabeth Wed 06-Dec-17 20:15:54

I forgot about H&M I must have a look!
I had a bad experience with Jeggings years ago, they kept falling down grin DD did have a nice pair from Tesco that zipped up the side and had a black elastic waistband, they were very slim fitting so maybe I need to look for more pairs.

I would say primark.

I’ll also look at Zara, I have some nice stretchy Primark Jeans, I think they do Jeggings so I’ll have a look when I next go to town.

MumofTwoandaDog Thu 07-Dec-17 15:12:28

I would agree Primark and H & M but also add New Look Teen section.

Megabeth Thu 07-Dec-17 20:34:05

I’ll try New Look,
I don’t think I’ll introduce Jack Wills, she’s already into expensive trainers because of seeing older kids at Street Dance!

Have a look at new look 9-15 range.
They seem to be quite slim cut.

Definitely New Look 9-15.

I know this thread is a few days old but my dsd has the same problem. She wears age 9-10 waist but the legs are way too small. Me and dh get her jeans from H&M as they have the elastic things in the waistband to adjust them and can go quite small, and she says they're really comfy.

Update to say I bought her a pair in New Look. Age10 high waist jeans, they fit perfectly on the waist but aren’t super skinny on the legs but she’s happy.
They have a sale on so I got a few other bits too. I’ll check out H&M next time I’m in town.

If anyone has recommendations for skinny black school trousers I’d be grateful, they’re not allowed Jeggings but the older girls do wear them.

New look...I have a skinny 11 year old who gets away with aged 9 in new look...she loves them!

My dd wears black ‘treggings’ from the younger girls section of H&M for school. She’s 11 but the 9-10 fit.

Thanks for those suggestions !

Next jeans come in skinny, super skinny, relaxed skinny.

Vertbaudet and LaRedoute also have slim cut jeans and waists that can be adjusted.

I have a very skinny 12 year old. She wears aged 10 super-skinnies from Gap. However, they are still quite baggy. H&M superskinnies were even baggier on her, Next were the same.

Thanks, I haven't ordered from Vertbaudet & La Redoute in ages, used to love their clothes for younger children, making me feel very nostalgic!!

I shall also check out Next and Gap. :-)
