Birthday present ideas for Ds (11) - desperate!!!

Title says it all really....for the first time ever, we are completely stumped and it's his birthday next week. So not long to go...eek!

He's finished year 6 and already owns a tablet (Hudl), (v cheap) smart watch and mobile phone (early birthday present).

Because his birthday is in school hols he has already had his party, and was given lots of Amazon vouchers - lucky boy!- so can buy stuff he wants anyway.

Although he's already had his big present (the phone) I really want to give him some small stuff on his actual birthday.

Can anyone recommend stuff that's a bit quirky, interesting, fun....and not too expensive, please?!!

Nice undies or toiletries? Book?
Voucher for rock climbing or spy mission or laser quest or cinema - whatever he likes?

Do you have 11-17 year old driving lessons near you? You can get vouchers for it.

Anything nice he'd like for secondary school? Perhaps a nice backpack?

Great ideas and exactly the sort of thing I'm after...thank you. Dh says no to driving lessons though and he's already got an alarm clock (although that is so cool I'm going to buy one for his friend!)

Keep them coming please!

Is he too young to appreciate clothes? Football strip?

Can't do pin art as dd2 is super proud of owning the only one in our household (!) and secondary school have compulsory school backpack - shame as that's a lovely idea.

Ugh, my head hurts. Just need some little things for his dsis' to give him....

Still thinking for you!

My son got this hovercraft kit for Christmas and loved building it - and it actually works!

Does he have a penknife? If not, then a nice swiss army knife?

My inlaws gave DS a fossilised dinosaur tooth for his 11th birthday.

Best. Present. Ever.

"Awesome since 2005" Tshirt and selfie stick purchased 😀

Thinking about the pjs. Definitely not the slushie cup - great idea but I don't trust ds to mess about with my freezer (the chances of it being left slightly open are waaaaay too high!). And not the penny board (had to google that) as not really ds' thing - although could be mine!

One or two more little items and we are sorted....

Great ideas Makemine (&'great name, too!) - not discounting them cos I don't like them but just because he's already got some of those, or similar....although I'm reserving the hovercraft for next Christmas by which point he might I hope be bored of the remote control heli he got given recently!

Ask him what he wants. At this age, apart from the young driving lessons, you'll be hard pushed to give him a'wow surprise' present that he loves. Absolutely no shame in asking him.
