Tips for spotty DS

DS is 10 and has lots of spots on his nose- a collection of blackheads, whiteheads are fewer but are lurking. He washes everyday, swims lots, showers regularly.

Any suggestions about what I can get him to help clear them up? I have rosacea so wash with emmolient cream, I don't think that will help DS.

DC use Clean & Clear gel facial wash wiped off with a fresh facecloth each day (chuck in wash after one use) followed by Freederm Rapid anti spot cream. They tried Clearasil and own brands but this was the combination that worked.

Once a month I grab them and put a clay face pack on their noses to draw out the blackheads (cheap facepacks from superdrug - I just buy one that is clay based.)

This has made a massive difference to the quantity of spots they get. If they get lazy and stop the routine, the spots come back.

Biore strip things pull blackheads out. And are fascinating. Also get him to wash his hands lot.

He's a bit of a drama llama- the Biore strips resulted in amputation style screams when it was removed! I hadn't thought about getting him to use a face cloth/ ironically since I use one every day. I'll get some cheapy masks too.

Thanks.

Dd started to have some pretty bad spots 6 months ago. She now used Micellar water morning and night on a cotton pad to cleanse, the she used the Dermalogica clear start overnight treatment

It's pricey but it lasts for ages and has cleared her skin up.

They do a whole range of clear start products and they're geared at teen skin, so not too harsh.

Told DS to stop drinking fizzy drinks for 2 weeks when he had the same issue and most of his skin cleared just from drinking water and the odd juice, would recommend trying this along with face washes etc.
