School Uniform

I'm not what to do about my 12yr old boy's uniform, I ordered his shirt and blazer (which have to be ordered through the school and can only be ordered at certain times of year) at the start of the six week holidays, when he got back to school in his new uniform I found that the blazer and shirt didn't fit him. He is quite overweight and this meant that his shirt wouldn't tuck in and that his blazer buttons won't fasten(which is a requirement of the uniform). Anybody know how I could make them bigger or adjust them in some way.

I would find a local alteration service to see if anything can be done with the current ones.

If I could only order uniform at a particular time of year I would be ordering the next size up each time I bought it. I actually used to buy primary school uniform in the next size up for plimsolls, tracksuits, PE shorts and t-shirts, plus trousers etc etc because Ds1 has a habit of literally growing out of stuff within a few days, ie it fitted on Tuesday but now on Friday it doesn't. I did this so I wouldn't be desperately trying to buy uniform in his new size.
