Skin cleansing for 10 year old

My DD1 10yo has a mini eruption of spots on her cheeks & forehead. I realised I needed to teach her a skin cleansing routine. She's used my body shop vit E cleanser with a muslin cloth. Any advice or thoughts of best cleansing routine for a preteen/prepuberty?

Watching this one. I was thinking the same about my dd 9 1/2, not sure which is a good face wash to use for such young skin. This is all so new and I'm struggling to get my head around having 1 thats not far off puberty and newborns.

Maybe try the simple kind to skin range ?? it's gentle and has some vitamins etc in them! There is also different ranges eg moisturising for dry skin oil control for oily skin

My dd , 12, has the elemis teen range, called "fresh skin". She has a face wash and a light exfoliater.

Hi, I have struggled with acne in my 30's and have realised that less is more when it comes to skincare for acne. The more you put on your skin the more likely you are to clog the pores. My ds who is 8 gets clogged pores on his nose and has had one big spot there. I find that the clogs are worse in this hot weather and if he has been wearing sun cream. I get him to wash his face gently but very thoroughly with Johnson & Johnsons Top to Toe (very mild and no clogging ingredients) and a flannel. I then swipe a little bit of Boots distilled Witch Hazel over his nose. I wouldn't go crazy with the Witch Hazel as it is quite strong, just a little swipe over the problem area. I would keep it as simple as you can.

And if it is actuallly acne get her to the doctor ASAP- there are really good treatments now.

P.s there is a website called Cosdna where you can check products for clogging ingredients. You can either cut and paste ingredients or do a product search. I have found it very useful as often products claiming to be 'oil-free' and anti-acne have some really clogging ingredients in them.
