Is driving me slightly crazy these holidays, back to school tomorrow but do need to vent and if anyone has advise that would actually be amazing!
He is currently next to me intermittently sighing because he got chocolate not a games console for Easter! He even gave away some of the chocolate saying he didn't like it - he does like it he is just trying to be all dramatic. I don't have much spare money so god knows why he was entertaining ideas in his head that he could get a play station!
These holidays he has also been generally moody - got in a strop and kicked a stone across the road which narrowly missed a car (phone confiscated for that). He has also been determined to disrupt everything, we went for a walk with friends and he pretended his ankle hurt, hobbled along until he realised the other kids were playing with a rope swing, chucked down the bit of tree he was using as a walking stick and ran off to join them. Last night I was having to deal with an ill horse which I had to keep on its feet despite the fact it kept trying to roll, it was physically difficult but accompanied my ds's constant background whining about how hard his life is!
Now dd and her friend have just come downstairs to watch Frozen which is apparently 'so unfair'.
(Disclaimer - he can also be lovely and funny, clever and kind, but at other times I despair!).

Sounds very much like my almost 12 year old dd. Her life is soooooo hard. Sounds as if your horse colicked, is he ok?

Ha, yes, I have no idea about how hard it is for him!? Actually after I wrote this he went back to sweet mode and all was well again!
Yes the horse had colic, wasn't mine thankfully but another one at the stables where I keep mine and they couldn't get hold of the owner for ages, he is lots better now thoughSmile

Yes, I have one of those :( 12 year old moody boys I mean, not poorly horses!

Sometimes I could happily punch him and later he is the most lovely child. They think the whole world revolves around them unfortunately and seem to lose all sense of perspective. Parents only exist just to make their life difficult. I have a 13 year old too and he is generally fine :) My 12 year old has always been a bit on the volatile side so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. He lives life in the highest of highs and lowest of lows, whilst his brother is a pretty even tempered lad most of the time.

Not sure if there is an answer - if indeed there was a question :o

So far 12 year old ds has been tons easier than both his older dds at that age. Long may it last.
