Hi, all advice gratefully accepted. DD,9, has some early puberty changes with pubic hair and small breast buds. She has also just been diagnosed with coeliac disease and is in early stages of the new diet. She has started getting spots in one armpit. The first was like a small abscess, it burst a few weeks ago and drained pus, now healing well. We thought it was an insect bite but now she has 2 more. She also is prone to spots on her face. She is going to start showering very morning instead of having a bath at night to see if that helps with the under arm; I just wondered if there are good cleansers she can use for her face or should we just use soap, and any other tips anyone has. I mentioned the coeliac as it may be that she is a bit rundown and that things will pick up with the diet. Anyway, all suggestions to keep her clean and fresh are welcome!

I would recommend the Simple range- it is very gentle on the skin and has no perfume/colours. Some other ranges can make the skin very dry and flaky and lead to more problems.

I second Simple. My daughter has a face wash in a tube, which certainly makes a difference.

My DSes love this Tea tree cleanser from the body shop. There's always a code lurking about so I never pay full price.

Neutrogena do a nice pink grapefruit facial wash too. It smells lovely.

Is she overweight? My sister started early puberty and bad skin greasy hair at 9 and - at the doctors suggestion - reducing portion sizes and upping exercise levels was able to put it off for a few years. She didn't seem to get bad skin after that! And went through puberty as normal.

No Captain, far from overweight, she's tall for her age and on the 25th percentile for weight! I'm hoping she'll put some on when she's been on the gluten free diet for a bit. She does have a fondness for sweets and chocolate that we'll need to curb a bit I think!
