We live abroad but will be returning to the UK in Sept 2010, when DS1 will be 3.5. From what I understand (please bear with me, I am american and trying to figure out the UK system...) DS will be able to attend a nursery at that point but will be one year away from his "reception" year. So, I am assuming I should try to sign him up for some nursery schools, perhaps attached to a primary school.
Problem is, we don't actually have a house where we intend to move back to (probably Dulwich, London). Will I still be able to get him on the list for any nurseries in that area or will they laugh me down the phone ..?
And if I can't sign him up, I guess I need to find a private nursery or just keep him home?
Any advice would be very much appreciated!
