Just saw timesonline.typepad.com/schoolgate/2008/08/lessons-before.htmlin the Times. Sounds ridiculous, but almost tempting. Does that make me bad?

I was hoping to write a piece on this (I'm a journo) - this blog has beaten me to it.
I actually met with the lady who is running this service (it must be the same one given pricing). It does seem that there's a demand out there for these services, whether or not people think they're desirable, especially with those preparing for private school assessments.

Bet you wouldn't tell your friends about it DoI!

I'm in two minds - maybe I should find out more? But really, in my heart, I think it's such a terrible idea and not really fair on the children. Except that a head start can't be all that bad....
Can you tell I'm in two minds?!

If you CAT me I can send you the lady's details and nobody on here needs to know about it!

I am in two minds about it too.

I see the journalist's point that it might mean the first term at school is very dull given a child would already know all this stuff.

You can remain anonymous if you do fancy talking about it!!
