Should I change dd's pre school?

DD is 3 3/4 and due to start reception in Sept 2008. She has been going to her current pre school for approx 1 year. It is run in a local scout hut and they offer a full school day so she attends 9-3 Mon and Tues and half day Thurs. I have just gone back to work and have a nanny now looking after DS (18mths. The nanny also looks after DD when she isn't at pre school. It is a short car distance away and I have been dropping off and collectingon my woay to work - bit of a faff with the traffic. I could get teh nanny to do it but it is kind of awkard as she has DS and her own DD (15mths).

In any event there are a few issues about pre school that I haven't been happy with but on the whole DD is settled and has a few freinds. The choice is though to move her to the school's pre school which is just round teh corner allowing the nanny to do drop offs etc as she could take the two little ones in teh pushchair. It would give DD a bit more structure to her work rather than doing something different each day with different people. I think it would also help her settle into reception next year or at least get her used to the idea of going to school everyday. The only over issue is the current pre school's ofsted report is actually unsatisfactory - not my major reason for wanting to move her as overall it is friendly and welcoming but obviously it does have bearing on the decision. as I type this it seems a bit of a no brainer, but interested in other comments and whether the risk of unsettling her would be worth it.

Thanks

sorry too many typos to try and correct - typing in dark as light keeps DS awake!

Is the school nursery in the same place as where she will go to reception? If so I would move her as you are right it will get her used to going everyday and usually in the term before they start school they start to take them over to the reception class and playground etc to get them used to the main school. Will the fact that it is only mornings (I assume it is) have an impact on your child care though?

Also if it is attached to school she will make a lot of friends that will carry through to reception.
