Advice on splitting 30 free hours.

Hi guys. My daughter has just turned 3 and I'm about to apply for her 30 free hours for pre school but me and her father are separated and share 50/50 custody of our daughter which means she's living half of her week in Scotland with her dad and half over the border in England with me.

So I know you can split the hours between two settings/preschools but does anyone know if you can split them between two settings which are in different regions?

Thanks in advance for help x

You can split the offer between more than one childcare provider
You can split your free entitlement between more than one provider, though no more than two sites in one day. However, it is important to bear in mind the impact of multiple providers on a child’s learning, development and wellbeing.
If you are splitting your offer between providers, you will need to provide yourr offer between providers, you will need to provide your eligibility code and information to each childcare provider

I believe the funded childcare arrangements in Scotland are determined by the Scottish government, so they might follow different rules to the rest of the U.K..

It would be best to phone both of the local authorities and ask.
