Blackheath Prep - assessment

Hello mums and dads,
My son will be assessed at Blackheath Prep early next year (2020) for entry at the Nursery. Would you know what the assessment entails? He's shy and I am a little worried about what they may ask!
Thank you Smile

Hi all,

Even our daughter will be assessed in around March for Nursery 2020 placement. Any pointer s will be helpful. We recently went for an assessment in another school and it felt like a breeze.. my daughter played with the toys along with 3 other kids her age while parents were sitting in other side of the room with a barrier... she played for an hour with 2 teachers who were assessing all the kids during play.

Hi @bizeemom and @londonmoonlight - are you able to share what the assessment involved? I also have a shy child! Thank you!

hi @Pipsqueak100
can't share much I am afraid as he went on his own with a teacher for 30min
he said he played with toys, did puzzles and read a story, she then asked questions about it
hope that helps!

Thank you for the information @londonmoonlight !

Out of interest did your DD get in? I’ve heard that the school is highly oversubscribed so was wondering if you had any idea of applicant:offer numbers for your year?
