Help - a stupid question and embarrassed as feel I really should know...

but how does the alphabet song go? We never did it at my school (many, many, many years ago). DS has started nursery and they do it at registration, he wont sing it to me and i thought it would help him learn it if I could encourage him by singing along. Hope that makes sense and thank you.

Barney or Sesame Street sites might have it - as z has to rhyme with me it is American! (Barney also does days of the week to Clementine in English and Spanish)

mine isn't to the tune of twinkle twinkle...

its just the alphabet tune...

maybe why that is why my breaks are in a different place....

so basically this wasn't a stupid question at all!

Wonder if it depends on how old we are, or we were are...

I can't find my recorder! Is it to the tune of "girls and boys come out to play"?

Report
stleger · 20/04/2007 22:47

Now trying to put all this together - Girls and boys fits. See, humming helps!

Jura - YES, that the tune..

I have just played it on DD keyboard...

Oh by the way - I am a little younger than you as I am not 40 just yet.... so the tune may have been around for a couple of years!...

Bigfatmummy, just ask one of the nursey staff to sing it for you on Monday morning......it's all part of the job.
