Hello everyone!
I'm mother to a beautiful 8 month year old girl who has just moved into the Orpington area. Not sure what's happened since when I was at school... in my day we just went to our local school and just did what we could with what we had, but now... the possibilities are endless! The amount of time spent analysing and deliberating on this subject is making my head spin. I've done a lot of reading around schools/prep schools and apart from knowing some school names and statistics I am frustratingly even further away from making any kind of decision! I was wondering if I could seek some general advice?
- We moved to the Orpington area (BR6) to take advantage of good local schools, however there still seems to be a huge take up of fee paying schools. Why is this? Do the fee paying schools still do better?
- Any recommendations for primaries in either the BR6 or Bromley area (our daughter is currently in nursery near Sundridge Park)?
- Some schools have nurseries attached, does it really make a difference to entry chances if the baby is part of their nursery?
