Possible Closure of our PreSchool

Our preschool has been going for 35 years, not without it's difficulties. The final straw being a massive rent increase and the school we are in the grounds of have decided they want our space for a classroom so there's not much we can do about it. They have put our rent up to oust us out as they know we cannot afford it. We share the building with the out of school club also who's chair is also a school governor and a complete a** hole who has wanted us out of the premises for a couple of years. I have built the Preschool up over the past year and is well attended. The committee side is a nightmare and our council are not happy that it's family members that have stepped up to be the Treasurer and Secretary, but who has time to do a job for free nowadays? All our parents work and I understand people do not have much free time to be doing an unpaid job. So what the hell do we do with all the assets? Apparently we cannot just sell them to anyone, it has to be another charitable organisation? Can we donate our stuff to another charity preschool? We are lucky to have funds for redundancies etc but I'm having so many sleepless nights and our Council is so unhelpful they put so many obstacles in the way and we don't get any definitive answers. Where do we start closing it down and getting rid of all the assets?
