Preschool Fun Run - how much do you give?

I'm new in this country and unfamiliar with these sponsored events for children. My son's preschool had a Fun Run and family event last week; I brought in cakes and spent about £8 on raffle, games etc. Now they're asking to bring in sponsorship money. How much do people give on average? And who do you ask to sponsor your child (I'm friendly with a lot of people, but haven't got much real "friends" yet). Thanks for any advice x

At that age I wouldn't ask anyone to sponsor them (maybe my Mum but no-one else) and I give £5.
