Do you know of this nursery in St Luke's Street? Is it good at preparing little ones for private school assessments?

Slightly biased perhaps as I have worked there previously but I found it to be excellent; well structured timetable with intelligent and conscientious staff who were caring and supportive. The children were split into small groups (max 6) for activities - writing, numbers etc and generally 2 staff per group as well as time for individual reading.

It felt like the children learned a lot and progressed quickly though the amount of time spent "learning" was minimal in relation to play from the children's point of view however all the activities were well thought out with clear plans for the term and Montessori theory at the heart of it.

Hope that helps!

Very helpful thank you...we are split between Ringrose and Pippa Popins but Ringrose is much closer to us.

Go with Ringrose then - I know plenty of families with kids at Pippas and to be honest, it's not that great. I won't go into details but there are mixed views on it, whereas Ringrose I think everybody thinks it's fantastic.

Thank you again!

In response to your question, you should go with the nursery school that you are happy with. I will however add that both my children attend Pippa Popins and we are very happy with the nursery and my children love going there.
