There is a proposal to close an excellent nursery school in Kingston (St Peters next to Asda, they want to close this to give way to a Homeless Shelter/Crisis Centre. This nursery has been running for 25 years, the staff are excellent and all the children who attend love going there. There is already a shortage of pre school places in Kingston and closing the nursery at St Peters would be a travesty and add to the problems.
