Hi I am hoping for some ideas from you all! I have a delivery slot from a supermarket on 30th Dec, I have already slowly built up my prep across the year and have just kept this topped up and rotated. I have a slot booked now for 30th which is what I would buy anyway, but are there any items you have tried and thought were amazing (long life)? What might I have forgotten?

The things I use a lot of and which I always have lots in stock of are coconut milk, chopped tomatoes, chick peas, condensed milk (for things like millionaire shortbread), toor dal, yellow split peas, red and green lentils, pasta of course, Passata, lemon juice and lime juice in a bottle in case of shortages of the fresh stuff, coconut milk, olive oil, dried fruit, cereals, porridge.

Ooh the lemon and lime juice are good shouts, I will add those thank you! Think I am OK for tinned toms and passata; but probably some more dried fruit would be good. Also you mentioning lentils has reminded me I have run out of pearl barley!

When we couldn't get any food in early this year, it was cheese, crisps and chocolate that I missed.

Anything you know you go through quickly I would get extra of. I have a family with a bake bean addition. I keep twice as many bean tins in as anything else, I know they last and I know they will be eaten (and missed) so having to trip over extra for a few days won't be the end of the world.
