Thread 12!

I can't seem to carry over the clicky links in the OP of the last thread. Can anyone else?

I've just noticed this is on the coronavirus board and not preppers. Was that deliberate?

Report
sideorderofchips · 08/03/2020 18:12

Oohhh we've moved to the corona board

That might confuse some preppers

ooopsupsideyourhead · 08/03/2020 18:13

@Funkycats Awww man, is just got settled in with my book and now we’re going to be hounded out because “it’s all you preppers fault”

Checking in.

Cleaned out my cleaning cupboard today, no specific reason although I was actually looking for a bottle of fabric conditioner Grin

I've got enough stuff to clean my house, and possibly the entire street - I've not bought any cleaning stuff aside from fairy liquid, so on that front I am very well prepared.

Was this thread started in the Coronavirus topic or did it auto generate there because of “coronavirus” in the title?

After a fairly long chat with DH we've agreed to send the kids into school tomorrow and review everyday. What exactly we are reviewing we aren't sure 🤪 we both agree that we don't feel it's time to keep them off quite yet, we agree that in the event of a case in their school, even just being tested, we will keep them off - but we differ on what happens between those too points. We will keep discussing.

Call it prepping or call it panic buying

The result is the same

Joe bloggs has a store cupboard full of stuff they ‘may need’ whilst others who need it’s right now cant access

Checking in. Thanks for new thread, I sent you PM mojo as I wasn't sure if if you wanted to go back to starting them but if you use the app like me you'll have missed it.

Links from the last OP, I'm in the app so hopefully the format doesn't mess up. (Is it just me ot is the app crap for adding links?)

The above pack is very fully on, but might be useful for ideas.

How is my buying loo roll in 2016 impacting people who want to buy it now?

Report
ofwarren · 08/03/2020 18:41

Exactly @bankittenheels
I'm just doing my normal weekly shop at the moment.

I got extras in January and the start of February.

Preppers aren't panic buyers

Has anyone else seen this? It's from a book that was published in 2008 I think

I'm not sure we'll ever be able to persuade people who don't want to understand the difference between panic buying and prepping Tbh.
The fact that we a) weren't fighting for the last of anything this week and b) I shared a bit of my stash to a friend who needed it today seems to pass them by.
(Friend has promised to prep a bit now, once the shops recover from this week)
My stash has been built over the last 18months so no, it hasn't impacted on people who can't get things this week.
It's not that hard to grasp!

And you still have it?

Report
ofwarren · 08/03/2020 18:56

Toilet roll doesnt go off or have a sell by date.
Proper preppers keep that extra stock in at all times.

Report
Funkycats · 08/03/2020 18:57

And you still have it?

That's the whole point of prepping!!

What is unbelievable about it?
Nobody is saying you have to do it. None of us will need to be going and grabbing the last few rolls at Sainsbury's because we have ours already.
More for you then.
