That sounds nice and simple. Might have to give it a go.

Are you making the gin yourself?

I have just made a berry and rhubarb gin, courtesy of a recipe from a waitrose magazine Grin

Learn how to make cider, then you will have a base for DIY gin.

Black currant vodka is lush as is gooseberry gin. And if you use pink elder flowers to make elder flower gin/cordial/champagne, it comes out pink. Smile

I've just done the pinkest rhubarb and gin with a little sugar. Last year i did Jaimie Oliver's sloe gin. He adds sugar syrup after the gin has brewed(?) Rather than adding sugar at the beginning and it worked really well. Just add small amounts of super syrup til it's the right sweetness for you. Which berries did you add Music I got my MiL slaughtered on homemade raspberry vodka a few years ago Grin

Be very careful about actual distilling. You don't need to make the wrong kind of alcohol - which is partly why they have serious legislation about it. (The main reason why distilling is generally illegal is ££££. Wink)

Elderflower Champagne is easy to make, don't need to add yeast as the flowers have natural yeast, not very alcoholic but delicious and refreshing and so easy.
