No! It's been on 5 to for years hasn't it?

mortificado Thu 26-Jan-17 16:18:48

Just seen it's been moved!

SideOrderofSprouts Thu 26-Jan-17 16:22:00

Thy say they've moved it mainly because of the words and actions of trump so far

It's scary shit

I agree that is scary shit. It's making me uneasy. I'm going to focus on it being moved back again after a peaceful Trump presidency. This 4 years can't go fast enough, it's like a waiting game.

I had thought it would be closer. I shall have to visit the site.

SideOrderofSprouts Thu 26-Jan-17 18:58:10

The closest it's ever got was in the 50s when both the Soviet Union and the USA were testing hydrogen bombs

There you go.

singlesoul85 Thu 26-Jan-17 21:15:21

First i heard of it was on FB tonight! Who decides how and when it should move?!

cozietoesie Thu 26-Jan-17 21:24:16

A group of scientists on behalf of the 'Bulletin of Atomic Scientists' if I recall?

cozietoesie Thu 26-Jan-17 21:26:50

Here is a quick guide.

I'm afraid it's only Wikipedia.

My trusty two 5 litre bottles of mineral water I've got stashed away will see us through blush .

cozietoesie Fri 27-Jan-17 11:45:04

Well done, megle - but might I suggest some single malt to go with them? grin

MrsTerryPratchett Fri 27-Jan-17 15:16:35

I've told DH now is the time I am finally allowing him to get the multi-year supply of MREs he has his heart set on. We are very close to the American border and I am actually genuinely worried.

cozietoesie Fri 27-Jan-17 16:05:21

Strewth - MREs ? That's second mortgage territory.

dingit Fri 27-Jan-17 17:04:26

What's an MRE?
And what would be scary on the American border?
Will they really build a wall?
Sorry, I'm a bit dim.

cozietoesie Fri 27-Jan-17 17:16:02

Meals Ready to Eat.

cozietoesie Fri 27-Jan-17 17:17:48

PS - MrsTerry is at the other (northern) end if I recall. No walls there.

cozietoesie Fri 27-Jan-17 17:20:19

PPS - or Meal to be precise.

languagelearner Fri 27-Jan-17 19:20:17

Will they build a wall against the Canadian border too? Haven't hear anything like that but you never know. The Huffington post wrote about it. Out of curiosity I wonder if it, should it be built, be bigger (longer) than the Chinese wall?

MrsTerryPratchett Fri 27-Jan-17 21:32:18

Longest undefended border in the world. I don't think they have enough bricks.

cozietoesie Fri 27-Jan-17 22:31:56

I was going to agree with you, MrsTerry, until I realised that I'm still guilty of old-fashioned thinking.

You know - logical and so on.
