What's normal after an abortion

Hi.

I had a medical abortion yesterday and wondering if what I'm experiencing is normal.

I took the option of going home to terminate after taking the first pill then inserting the 4 tablets internally at the hospital. I then went home. Took the oral tablet at around 9.15am and then inserted the 4 tabs at around 10am. Started having mild cramps around 10.30am. Took some painkillers. It wasn't until around 2.30 that I had some spotting and cramping increased. Pain persisted and bleeding got heavier but that's about it. Pain tapered off by the evening and bleeding still persists but there have been no clots, just blood. It wasn't even as heavy as my normal periods, and I don't usually get really heavy ones and I haven't filled a pad just yet.

I was 6 weeks and 6 days from my last period however the ultrasound said between 5-6 weeks and a heartbeat was detected. Does this sound normal or is it that I'm just not likely to see much due to being quite early?

Thanks in advance x
