Periods after abortion?

Hi all, i had an abortion in july. Since then my periods have never been the same. Every month before im due i get horrible extreme pregnancy symptons, such as extreme fatigue to the point where i feel like my bodys drained of all energy. I always get serve thrush when im coming on, to the point where im all cracked and swollen (sorry for the tmi). Sex becomes too painful, it literally feels like a burning/friction burn weeks before and after my period to the point im in so much pain down there i cant move and have a cold flannel to help. And im just a hormonal mess. To say i get moody is an understatement i cry and feel aggitated 24/7 and i feel like i just dont know my body or myself when this happens. I feel so unbalanced its awful. My most current period has just come after being nearly 9 days late and experiencing thrush so bad i nearly took time off work. Ive also realised my periods are majority clots now (not large ones). Along with the hot and cold flushes and everything else im in a state and its effecting myself and the people around me. I did go to the doctors but they just suggested having a blood test to see see if my blood count is low. I mention the pill but preferably I don't want this to be my forever solution. I feel very hopeless right now and just want this whole abortion nightmare to come to rest. Has anyone else experienced this? I was never told anything of this when I was going through my abortion procedure so I'm confused as to if this is normal or not. I just want to know whether my periods will ever go back to how they used to be.
