Pregnant, already have an 11 month old

I have just found out I’m pregnant an hour ago. I was a couple of days over my period and I had stomach pains similar to what I had when first pregnant with DD2 so I was suspicious although we have been using precautions and my period has been a mess since DD so no real reason to think I was pregnant.
I thought I’d take a test to put my mind at rest instead of waiting for my period to turn up. Turns out I’m pregnant and the line is reasonably dark so I assume a few weeks on although I have no idea as I say we have been using protection so have no idea when I have fallen pregnant.

No idea why I’m writing here but I just felt the need the vent. I was taking some time off work till DD was a little older but have decided to return soon part time and now my boss with think this is the reason why so I am entitled to maternity leave. We have DD (9) DD (11 months) and now pregnant so I’m wondering how I’m going to cope. Has anyone done anything similar. Tbh I think I had a touch of PND and I’ve been up and down although love my children very much, I have just been very emotional and down in myself at times. DH works away and can be away for 6 weeks at a time and home for 3/4 weeks so a lot of the time I’m home alone. I’m doubting if I can do this.

Of course you can do it. DH and I are actually planning to ttc again when DS is 11 months as we want a small age gap - it'll be tough while they're very little but much easier later when they can entertain each other as they'll hopefully have similar interests and abilities. Congrats!

My two children have an 11 month age gap. I will not lie, it was HARD at times but we get through it. We have to. Yes it is hard work whilst they are young but it is worth it. They are 10 and 9 now and have an incredible bond. Congratulations

So 19mth age gap? It’s not terribly unusual but is hard work when they are little till youngest turns 4.

There are 17 months between my two. It's got a lot easier now the oldest is at school and the youngest is at pre-school. I won't lie, the first 3 years of it was shit for me and I wouldn't do it again if I had the choice. But having said that, I don't know if I'd have liked to have done all the baby stage again after just having got out of it. It's been easier in terms of finding activities and interests etc and they are good friends most of the time. So not all bad.

Thank you for the replies. I just feel I struggle to spend time with DD1 just now as always busy with dd2 when DH is working. Thank you for words of advice and stories of success. I’m under no illusion it’ll be easy that’s for sure so just wondering if I can do it with DH working away especially it’s going to be a lot on my own
