Morning after pill panic

This is going to sound really crazy but my partner and I had a condom split on Thursday about 1 a.m.
I also use the diaphragm and spermicide but because in the past we've had an accident and the morning after pill has failed so we double up on contraception. He still wanted me to get the morning after pill which I was fine with to settle his mind as at this point I was not worried at all that's the tire friend was there. We did this within a 12-hour window and I took Ellaone. Some reason 2 Days Later I I don't know why but I'm flapping and panicking and I've ordered another one to take this morning.
I'm feeling really stupid but I'm anxious worried panicky tearful and I don't know why. PS I'm 39 years old.

You know that you are worrying unnecessarily so try and calm down.
Maybe you should think about one of you being sterilised as this level of stress must be very difficult.

Well probably too late but I have taken it again. Thanks Casmama we have spoken about this and I am going to see gp about sterilisation. I have 2 children and so does he. He is 51 soon too so neither of us wants anymore children. I was trying to calm him down telling him not to panic. Now I am but I daren't tell him I've just taken it again.

Hi hun I just wanted to say that I took Ella one 12 hours after (think I was ovulating or had just ovulated). I am now pregnant and going through the difficult decision to terminate the pregnancy. I would really recommend getting a coil fitted if you have time. Not trying to scare you at all but just wanted to share my experience.

Too late for me now as it's been 6 days. I had exactly the same experience as you but with levonelle. I had recently been diagnosed with MS at the time & my partner was 50 and neither of us wanted any more. I already have two so I had to make that difficult decision too. I had mine done at 6 and 1/2 Weeks. As hard as it was for a good few months afterwards I now look back knowing that was the best decision I ever made for myself, my partner and my two children who are currently being rejected by their father but that's a whole other thread. Anyway sorry for the essay but if you want to be a me feel free. You need to make the choice that's right for you and your family not what other people think is right or wrong. Xxx
