Desperate for advice re buying abortion pill online, pls help

I am a single mother of two children and I am desperate to terminate this unwanted pregnancy as soon as possible. I suffer from extreme symptoms such as constant vomiting and extreme tiredness and am unable to work and therefore support my family. I have contacted bpas who said they will contact me for an assessment appointment and I may have to wait two weeks, as there is very high demand at the moment. Marie stopes have said I will need to wait at least two weeks before a procedure can occur.

I have taken two positive pregnancy tests today, a dating pregnancy test which puts me at 2 - 3 weeks, had a scan which did not show foetus but did show thickened womb lining. So I'm for sure pregnant and about at this stage. I am desperate for it not to progress more - I had to go through this before and ended up waiting till I was 8 weeks.

Has anyone bought the pills on line , if so how did you do it? Was it safe? Please help!

I understand how upsetting this must be but please, wait for the appointment and don't buy anything online! You don't know what you'd be getting and you could put your health at risk.

Please don't buy them online. That is a terrible and dangerous idea. Your children need their mother safe and well not poisoned by some dodgy internet tablets.

If you're feeling this desperate perhaps make an emergency appointment with your GP to discuss options or wait the 2 weeks from Marie Stopes or BPAS. I know you want it sorted asap but please don't put yourself at risk

Marie Stopes and BPAS will have your interests at heart. Have you tried speaking to them again - explain how anxious/desperate you are and ask whether there are medical reasons you should wait, or whether it's purely about pressure on services

Sympathy on the exhaustion and vomiting. Early pregnancy is bad enough when it's a wanted baby

Don't buy anything online. I completely sympathesise with your fear that pregnancy makes you too ill to look after your children, but you could make yourself much sicker still with unregulated medicine of dubious origin.

OP, have you actually seen your GP? It sounds like you went directly to private clinics? I think it would be a good idea to at least try talking to your GP about how desperate you feel and seeing whether they have any ability to refer you more quickly.

I have contacted women on web and thought I had bought the pills from them (what an amazing organization) but then got an email saying as I'm in the UK and abortion is legal, they can't supply.

Bpas and Marie stopes seem to be saying they need to scan a viable uterus before giving pills. Online it seems to say they are safe to take from 2 weeks.

Safe2choose looked safe to me, but of course I have the concerns raised by posters on this thread

Your GP may be able to fast track you yes, if not, have you had any sickness yet? It may not start for a while.

In any case, worst case scenario of waiting is 2 weeks sickness, worst case of internet medication is unthinkable.

If you are desperate to get this sorted out ASAP, I would go to the GP as they can refer you to BPAS more quickly than you can self refer.

Also the GP may be able to give you something to control your symptoms.

I agree you should go back to your GP and make a huge fuss (cry, say it's affecting your mental health, vomit on their shoes). Abortion services are under so much pressure - your GP might be able to bump you up if you get them onside.

I meant to add that I do know of people who have got a BPAS appointment more quickly through a GP than self referring.

Sorry to assume this but if money is an issue, the GP can also get the BPAS to waive some or all of their fees.

Better, safe than sorry and it's safer to wait two weeks for a legal (and therefore regulated) termination. The drugs this organisation supply are powerful and should never be administered or taken without input from a qualified individual.

Don't let desperation or impatience suck you into a potentially dangerous route.

I don't think anyone, including the charity, would say that taking these pills unmonitored is as good as having treatment under the care of a medical professional. These are options for women who live in places where the laws put them in a terrible position of not being able to access legal, safe abortion. Of course they're better than those women trying to end their pregnancies through other, less safe methods, but that's​ why they won't supply to women in the UK - it's not ethical to do so for women who have a better option.

Thanks all. Women on web are going to get back to me. I am satisfied they've safe and I competed their online consultation form which ruled out risks, as well as being near a hospitAl which I am and having someone with me, which I will.

I am not sure if I can take them before the foetus is seen by a scan either way, and if I can take earlier and they will send I would feel safe to do so.

I do disagree About it being unethical if women have a legal option, if the only issue with UK providers is to see a viable foetus on a scan which could take weeks. Further, I'm happy to donate in more than double the standard donation of 90 euros which would help other women. If it is safe for me to do so at this stage in my pregnancy and I have satisfied their medical requirements I do not have a problem with it.

You are correct about the foetus not being visible on a normal ultrasound scan so in very early pregnancy the BPAS confirm pregnancy with a trans-vaginal scan.

If the foetus is not visible on the trans-vaginal scan then it might be developing somewhere other than the womb like a fallopian tube and for that reason I would say that you must have a scan before taking the abortion pill.
