Surgical abortion and scar tissue in uterus?

Hi all,

I had a surgical abortion in April 2015. I was a little over 14 weeks and so I'm not entirely sure what method was used (vacuum or D&E) I assume vacuum as the BPAS website, who I had my termination with, state up to 15 weeks vacuum is usually used and 15+ is D&E. 5 days after my abortion, I ended up in A&E due to extremely heavy bleeding and passing enormous thick clots. The gynaecologist that examined me said it seemed to be the beginning of an infection which isn't that uncommon after a surgical termination and felt my abdomen and inserted a speculum to make sure there was no more retained product (there wasn't) and she couldn't feel anything that indicated my cervix or uterus had been damaged during the surgery (it hadn't). She gave me antibiotics although the bleeding had stopped by this point and I completed the course and that seemed to be the end of that.

Fast forward to this week. I had an ultrasound due to having pains in my ovary which they thought might be a cyst. It wasn't but the doctor said she thought she could see some scarring on my uterus and asked asked had I had any previous abdominal surgery (I assume like an appendectomy or c-section) which I said I hadn't but she then asked if I'd had an infection so I explained I'd had one after my abortion.

I started panicking and when I got home I googled and a thing called Asherman's Syndrome popped up. Scarring in the uterus can cause infertility or recurrent miscarriages and although I'd had none of the typical symptoms (periods becoming very light or stopping altogether) I started freaking out. It says that scar tissue is usually caused by a D&C (which I didn't have) trauma to the uterus during surgery (The gynaecologist at the hospital when I had my infection told me she couldn't find any evidence of this) or infections that have been left untreated for too long (I had mine treated straight away and when I went to hospital I was told it was only the beginning stages of an infection)

I've since learnt that scar tissue doesn't show up usually on an ultrasound or if there is some, an ultrasound isn't a reliable enough way to diagnose. Is it likely that there could still be scarring there even though a gynae told me she couldn't find any uterine damage caused by the abortion and that my infection was treated promptly before it became worse? Am I just extremely unlucky? I can't stop worrying. I would really like a baby in the future she now I'm worried it's going to be exceptionally difficult if it's even possible at all :(
