Just been wondering this. Does the time of year have any affect on the size of a baby. I know there are lots of other factors but just curious

DS born 22nd November and weighed 6lb 1oz. Was born at 38+3 and I had pre-eclampsia.

DD born 20th September and weighed 7lb 11oz. Was born at 40+4 and I didn't have pre-eclampsia.

DD - May - 1 day before EDD - 9lb 12 oz
DS - December - EDD - 10lb 5 oz

So, I'd probably say no (DS was second baby)

Are you expecting that winter babies will be chunkier as their mums will have been scoffing stew and dumplings, as opposed to skinny salad-fed summer babies?

I was actually thinking that summer babies would be bigger since we use more energy in the winter. But i supose even then the babies would take what they need before the mum gets what she needs.
