Pregnancy

Just want to share - 37 weeks and hugely relieved!

Hi,

just wanted to say that I've spent a lot of time and effort during this pregnancy fretting about the possibility of pre-term labour. My son was born at 35 weeks and although he was OK (and I recognise how lucky I was!), I was really worried that this time I'd be even earlier. We struggled in the beginning with feeding problems, low birth weight and jaundice and as all they told me was "some women just don't carry full term", I was nervous as to what would mean for this pregnancy.

Now, however, I've made it to 37 weeks so am eligible to deliver at the lovely low risk birth clinic if all else goes well! I honestly never thought I'd make it this far so I just wanted to share how happy and grateful I am. In fact, I'm so grateful I will not say one word about how incredibly puffed up my hands and feet have got in this hot weather

Arww that's brill! I'm 37weeks also, have a bicornuate uterus and a history of miscarriages so I'm also very very happy! Although I've got a feeling she's not gonna make an appearence now till after her due date! Haha best wishes and good luck with the birth!

Thanks everyone! Still hanging on in here so it looks like this little one will be full term. RobynLou - that's quite a story, hope this one is a little earlier than two weeks overdue!

My first was born at 34+5, my second at 40 weeks exactly, my third at 40+2, so this time (I'm 11 weeks pg), I'm fully expecting to be even more overdue. It is worrying when your first is quite early, but every pregnancy is different, and you could even end up going overdue this time. Good luck!
