Food poisoning at 26 weeks

I have had really bad abdominal cramps since yesterday afternoon. I went to the drs this morning and he diagnosed me with food poisoning (thanks to some chicken at a bbq I think). I have dioralyte and am starting to feel better, but I am really concerned about potential damage to my baby. Am I right in thinking that food poisoning is just bad for me and won't do any harm to the baby? The Dr wasn't too concerned but now I just feel like an idiot for not being more careful about what I eat.

Just wanted to add that I had quite bad food poisoning when I was about 26 weeks pregnant with DS2. He (and I) were fine. I was on holiday and ate some fish that had been left out overnight in the heat....what on earth was I thinking?????!!!

I picked up campylobacter whilst on holiday, at about week 25.
At first of course I didn't know that that was it, but when I told my GP I had a bad case of the runs, she asked me to bring in a stool sample just to make sure.
After the bug had been found, I had to take antibiotics for a week.

I felt really rough whilst I had the bad diarrhoea, and for a while after, but things started to improve the moment I had finished the ABs.

As far as I can tell, it hasn't affected the baby... GP seemed not worried, and googling it did not reveal any known risks. The only real risk is if you get severely dehydrated. The dehydration, not the bug itself, can cause problems for the baby. So keep up with the dioralyte!
