I'm getting pins and needles in my hands during the night and occasionally during the day. I'm only 17 weeks this is going to drive me mental if it happens for the next 23 weeks. ARGGHHH.

Oh nooo, lots of sympathy here if it is that. Have you got a keyboard-type job, or other factors that might make you more than usually prone to it?

Maybe go to the physio for one of those amazingly attractive and comfy hand splints to wear at night ...?

Oooo it gets WAY worse than mere pins and needles.....
Greatest sympathy if it is it, I had it in the last month and I couldn't move my hands in the morning.

I'm kinda hoping it isn't carpal tunnel tbh.

I had this before getting pregnant and bought 2 of those splints (with metal bars in so you can't bend your wrists) which I wore at night. Did feel a bit like a robot and a bit itchy so used to line them with tissues!!!??! But they did help massively. Not had to wear them in AGES!

Good luck

Carpal tunnel is a very specific issue and there are other things that can cause similar symptoms, such as myofascial trigger points (muscle knots) on the muscles of the arms, shoulders and neck. These can be treated with specialist massage.
