Pregnancy

10 weeks to go... not sure I can go on!

Warning: This is an indulgent moan. I'm so bored of being pregnant. I'm massive, tired, not sleeping. I've got piles, and thrush and varicose veins, and the enormous bump makes it hard to wipe my bottom

I just don't want to go on like this for ANOTHER TEN WEEKS. Of getting bigger and more uncomfortable and fed up.

I know I don't have a choice. But thanks for listening to me whinge!

Time to start treating yourself to things. Not caribbean holidays - well not unless you can afford it but things that make you feel nicer.

Get nice moisturised loo paper. Persuade a friend to give you a pedicure because you can't reach. I bought all different shampoo and moisturiser for hospital. It all gets used in the end so you aren't spending more money, just having something different is nice. Get a new colour nail varnish. I had some old fashioned perfumed bath cubes.

Book a hair cut. Be nice to yourself. I had a summer baby and treated myself to a glamourous sun hat because my head was the only part of me that was normal size.

July will come soon enough.

I agree with Kathyjelly - now is your opportunity to indulge yourself.

A pedicure is great because a flash of pretty toes beyond my humongous bump (am 31 weeks and very uncomfortable) always gives me a lift. As does my lovely M+P maternity nighty that still fits when everything else is snug and looks quite nice on too (designed with a sumo-wrestler shape in mind no doubt!).

Also just keep thinking about your lovely baby that you will very soon meet - 10 weeks will whizz by believe me. And preoccupying myself with baby stuff and my hospital bag keeps me distracted enough from all the crap, at the moment.

Try to put your feet up more and rest if you can it will help both the piles and the varicose veins (possibly). I don't know any tips for thrush but i can sympathise with how horrible it is when you've got a bad bout of it.

Just rest and treat yourself and make the most of feeling ok when you recover from your current preg symptoms and have a good nights sleep - it occasionally happens, though not nearly enough dammit!

Good luck xx

At 33 weeks I'm starting to feel the same way and can sympathise. My best tip for sorting out thrush is to add a few drops of tea tree oil to your bath and have a bath at least once a day. It really worked for me.

good luck.
