My friend had her 20 week scan yesterday and was told her baby has 2 extra cracks in it's skull and she has to go back today to find out what it means.

She is terrified poor thing!

Does anyone have any experience of this and can tell me what it means for the baby and the pregnancy?

Not exactly but my DS was born with craniosynostosis (fused fontanelles) - this could be corrected by surgery. There is a very good charity called 'Headlines' which might be able to offer more advice (they were very helpful to us at the time.
