Weirdest late pregnancy thing

I'm 39+weeks with my 4th, and no signs of the child wishing to join us. BUT I do have the strangest thing going on, and I wondered if anyone could top it.

My vagina and cervix appears to be, well, snoring. Every few seconds there is buzzing sensation similar to what your pregnant soft palate does when you go for a nap. It's not uncomfortable, just annoying. Neither is it keeping time with my pulse or my breathing as far as I can tell.

If anyone knows what this is, please share! If not, any other bizarre things to keep me reassured?

Have you lost your mobile phone recently, by any chance?

(Sorry, can never resist being facetious)

YEP YEP YEP!!!!

I have had this too! No idea what it is, but like you say very annoying!

I noticed it last week, went on for quite a while too! Like a fizzy, buzzing sensation!

37 weeks on Friday, interested to hear if anyone else can shed any light, I just thought I had a trapped nerve or something!

I have just taken the high risk strategy of googling "pregnant buzzing vagina" and got lots of answers! Consensus seems to be the babies head irritating a nerve in my pelvic floor as he/she engages.

Bizarre.

And you know, Bessie, it more like a mobile phone in a pocket than anything else. But its not that. And all my massive coterie of sex toys are accounted for too.

Glad to have been of service. I've just been marching around the town for a hour and I'm not buzzing to the same extent any more.

This is excellent! I distinctly remember experiencing a similar sensation in the weeks leading up to birth of DS. I kept crossing and uncrossing my legs and clenching in a vain bid to rid myself of the nuisance. I'd completely forgotten until reading your post flybynight
