Where to find a suit for a major interview - London, 35 weeks pg

I have a major interview coming up for a highly competitive job, which will take place when I'm 35 weeks pregnant. I need to buy a suit!

I'm thinking of buying a black shift dress with a black jacket. Can anyone advise on where to buy something like this in London? Stylish, and good quality, but not ridiculously expensive. (Little bit annoyed at having to spend the money on something I'll only wear once, but it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so am gritting my teeth.)

Isabelle Oliver might do something like that. They do some lovely stuff.

jojomamanbebe.co.uk - this is a sight worth checking out if you haven't already and they do some decent workwear.

Good luck with the interview!

I have one later on today but I am only 5.5 weeks gone, so not really a problem for me!

Beanlet, I'm in London, and I have a suit which you can borrow for the day if you like. It is pinstriped (navy) but well smart - I wear it for court (am a lawyer). Let me know!

I meant to say - it is a size 8-10.

I wouldn't panic too much if you can't find anything. I had an interview today (at 30 weeks) and just wore a smart shirt and nice trousers - no one seemed to mind at all. It's kind of obvious sitting there with a massive bump in front of you that you prob don't have a jacket that fits.

  • I'm hot all the time at the mo anyway and would have boiled in a suit! Can you just carry one that doesn't fit and pretend you're too hot too?!

Thanks so much for all this helpful information I will check out the shops you suggest. Thanks too for the offers to lend things how I wish I were still size 8-10! but this baby has really beefed me up.

I'm fairly new here, and I'm touched by how kind and friendly everyone is on these forums -- very different to the rest of the blogosphere!
