There is no nice way of describing mine.

It was about the size of £1 coin (slightly smaller). A bit like pale green snot with a few small streaks of blood.

hth OP - apologies to anyone who is reading this and eating a roast lunch lol

I only ever noticed it with DC3- and I had a thing like an uncooked scallop come out! Nice... So my point is- it was REALLY noticeable! I was in no doubt what it was. However this came out at 35wks ish and i didnt go into labour until 42 weeks.

Mine was pale pink with red bits in about size of a 50p and jelly like texture. Hope that helps lol, good luck

steph sorry I posted and then logged off so didn't see your question.

My experience probably isn't much use to you.

With dd1 the plug didn't come away until I was well into labour. In fact it was whilst I was violently retching over the loo in response to being given pethidine. It kind of slithered out mid-retch.

With dd2 again it was during labour, about 2-3 hours prior to delivery, but it came away "bit by bit"

Again, apologies for the rather tmi post, but you did ask.

I'd be slightly concerned if it was greenish in colour.
Mine were bloody pinky/white and huge. Although they came out in bits. Like after unprotected sex when OHs "issue" comes back out!

steph,...sounds exactly as i would have described mine. Not vivid green you understand, but def green tinge just like (sorry,..but it has to be said..) when you have a heavy cold the thick snot on the first blow of the morning. Only way I can compare it. I'd not be worried about the colour ! It ought to have a latin name to make it less yuk..."snotra verdi" that's it!!
