Ow, my legs itch UNBEARABLY.

I had this in November and the GP never got to the bottom of it ... cleared up after a couple of weeks, but left me with scars all over legs where I'd scratched until the raised bumps bled. My legs still look very scarred but had not been itchy since then.

Past 2 days though, it's come back and it's driving me mad. Don't know if there is any point going to GP again as they were so clueless before. Anyone had similar experience?

(BTW they did initially suggest PUPPP, but ruled it out as it's only my legs that itch and the timing was all wrong.)

Hi, im not sure if this will help but ive has itchy skin with all 3 of my pregnancies. the Gp & midwife was unsure of what it could be just hormonal i guess as i had lots of bloods taken & all came back fine.
the only thing i found that helped was an intensive moistoriser called DoubleBase, the GP gave it to me and its very soothing.

Its not just my legs though its all over and some nights i wake up scratching so hard its agony in the morning!

I hope you find some releif very soon

Thanks for replying. That's funny you should say because my mum also recommended Doublebase and I have got some and it is the only thing that helps! I had never ever heard of it before she and you mentioned it -- even the GP did not suggest it.

I would love to find a way to stop the problem entirely but if not, at least the cream helps a bit.

Sorry to hear you have the problem all over -- that's rotten. I suppose I should be glad it's just my legs. Very odd though.

i can sympathise with you both! i posted a similar thread earlier but didnt get any replies so thought i was the only one suffering with this!
i have loads of tiny little itchy spots all over me, started out on my bump and have just gone from there. Thought they were bites but no one else in the house has them, mentioned it to mw and she didnt really know. Googled it and saw PUPPPs so thought that might be what it is.
The itching is maddening, i try so hard to ignore it. I;ve been using an aloe based cream which has been quite soothing and takes the itch away. Lets hope it goes away quickly after the birth!

I've had this (I'm 36 weeks) and I have been having nightly oil baths (Alpha Kerri oil which is Australian so not sure of the UK equivalent) and then using some spray oil (Molten Brown) to rub in after. My husband thinks I'm greasier than a chip pan but it is working. Itching drives me crazy.

Oh - thank you so much for posting this. I am 13+5 and have been suffering almost the entire pregnancy with incredibly dry, itchy skin. I've been having baths with E45 oil at night, which can placate it for a little while, but nothing seems to last longer than a few hours.
I will search out this amazing Doublebase.
Thanks girls.
