I'm currenty 26 weeks with ds#2. I remember getting some tightenings which i thought were braxton hicks with ds#1 but they were not like these that i'm getting now. Over the past few days i've been getting around 5-10 a day which sometimes take my breath and make me stop what i'm doing. Baby is still moving around loads so not really too concerned.

Has anyone else had the same??

Hi Jilly, I am now 30 weeks pregnant with DC3, and like you have exp some tightenings which have stopped me in my tracks!

Probably since about 23 weeks, I mentioned it to my midwife last week and she said its normal, and can coincide with the movement of the baby?!?

This baby moves 'a lot' much more than my previous two! So maybe it is the case that all that activity causes earlier and stronger BH?

I would mention any concerns to your midwife though,

Congrats by the way! x

I'm 32 wks with my first and have been experiencing BH since 20wks. They vary in intensity but have been getting stronger and can make me stop what I'm doing. They are definitely BH as midwife confirmed it last week.
The amount of BH can vary but I've joked to OH that by the end of this I'm going to have a 6 pack as they are so strong. He thinks beer barrel instead. Nice!
