Hi, I only found out I was pregnant a couple of weeks ago and am nearly 7 weeks but my stomach has bloated so much I'm finding it difficult to do my trousers up. From a side I literally look like I've got a bump already. At the moment I'm living in leggings and baggy jumpers to hide it. I'm finding it a bit difficult to go to the loo (sorry tmi!) but I didn't think it would cause my tummy to swell this much!Has anbody elsde had this? At this rate I'll be in maternity clothes by my first scan!

I'm afraid it's one of the side effects of a sluggish gut during pregnancy! If this is not your 1st then it may be more pronounced. Make sure you are eating plenty of fruit and veg to keep things moving. Allbran is great for constipation and so is drinking plenty of fluids. Congratulatoins and join the club! I'm also 7 weeks pregnant with my 2nd and pretty much in the same boat as you. Now, have you thought about one of those nice, tight body shapers?

I was like this in the early stages of my current pregnancy, Bebo.

Stylishly enough, it was mainly wind!

I was going to write 'it'll pass' but that would be far too groansome a pun.

Ha ha thank you ladies! Im not feeling at my most glamorous right now! I'm trying not to get excited about the pregnancy too much as it's so early but it's my 1st and it's hard not to! Don't get me wrong I can't wait for a lovely baby bump but a 'wind bump' isn't quite so cute!

I was in maternity clothes at 6 weeks. Felt ridiculous! Well, that was for DC3. For DCs 1 & 2 it was between 10-12 weeks. Guess I have a "sluggish gut" !

Don't worry though, it does all pan out in the end.

I'm with you! not even two months and I have a major belly! At work they're all "awww she has a bump already.." and I'm
"errr... noooo....parp..."

It's gross!

And if you really want TMI, I ate a whole bag of grapes last night, and lets just say, I looked positively slender at work this morning...! ewwww! Oh my god I feel so much better though.

I am a fibre convert.

I will join that club. This is my 2nd pregnancy and 5 weeks pregnant but look more like 4 months. Good to find that I am not the only one feeling like this. .

I know, it really is a bit sad...
but my other half is making me paranoid with the "don't let your boobs get all saggy now" comments, part of me wants to smack him and part of me is oh my gooooddddddd.....

I really can't see how I can avoid getting quite big, I'm big boned anyway! Although am definitely saving tons of calories from not drinking that's for sure!

Good to hear I am not the only one suffering with horrible wind! I am 7 weeks pregnant & had a very disturbed nights sleep with it last night. Terrible tummy aches, bloating & the rest! I don't remember this delightful symptom from my other pregnancies!

I'm 6 weeks with my 4th.

I've suffered with indigestion with all of mine and probably kept the local chemists in profit with the amount of indigestion tablets etc bought.

But this one is by far the worse and so early on. I too am bloated and am almost convincing myself it's twins!

I am 12 weeks with my second. I already have a gut bump, which is tricky to conceal at work as I don't want to tell my bosses until I've had the all clear from my scan.

I've had to resort to loose clothes and big scarves .

Having said that, I started to show with number 1 at about 15 weeks.

Yeah I'm only 8 weeks and have a pronounced bump and severely constipated- what if any over the counter remedies are ok to take for this?

Sadly I can't face most vegetables (which I usually love) as they like many foods nauseate me right now.

Yes ronx I think I'm going to struggle to keep this hidden too.

I also feel like I'm gonna explode, but hey ho....

5 1/2 weeks pregnant and look 5 months pregnant with baby 4 definitely didn't have this with my 1st or 2nd didn't show with them until 5 months :/ my 3rd was straight after my 2nd literally so my baby bump hadn't quite gone anyway... It's awful especially as I've recently lost 2st that people have noticed now have this massive belly

Hello all,
I recently found out that I am. This is my first pregnancy, just before my period was due, I starred bloating and got a terrible backache. I am hardly three weeks pregnant and tummy is so big as if six months.
Can anyone please suggest what can I do to avoid this?
Many Thanks

Hello ladies! I am 6 weeks and my mind is going crazy 24/7 I am super excited already ( I know it’s really early days) but this is also my first baby! But I’m worried all day and not worried about becoming a mum I’m worried about the worst and I know it’s not healthy to think like that but I physically can not control my mind at the moment! The amount of times I have looked at my pregnancy test it’s unreal 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ All I want is someone to tell me everything is ok and I know my mind will be at rest but I have a few weeks to wait still!! Anyone else like me?

I found out 3 days ago. I have backache too and super anxious something is going to go wrong. I've been trying sleeping with a pillow between my legs to see if that helps. But I'm in the same boat as you. It's even worse sitting at work at my desk!!

I was like that, at 8 weeks the midwife thought I was 6 months. My bloating has never gone away I’m 22 weeks now and nothing works
